GREEN STEM Scholarship Details
GREEN STEM scholarships will empower up to 92 young talents, students and staff to experience an intra-Africa mobility in the partner institution from short to long term
SCHOLARSHIPS are only available when the HOST university (where you will study) is different from the HOME university (where you are studying or you have studied).
Interested and qualified applicants should follow the procedures we will be outlining in this post to submit a strong application and become a beneficiary.
European Union GREEN STEM Scholarship Benefits
- Monthly allowance: 890€ for Masters, 1230€ for doctoral, and 2370€ for Staff Exchange.
- Application fees, visa and insurance contribution
- Tuition fees are waived for the grantees
People in disability are welcome and will be specifically supported during their mobility

For the 2024/25 academic session, the European Union GREEN STEM Scholarship will accept applications to the following programmes;
Full Master Programs
- Climate Change Adaptation
- Chemistry (Specialization in Environmental or Industrial Chemistry)
- Mathematics
- Computer Science
- Environment & Biosystems Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Entrepreneurship and innovation
- Supply chain management
Full PhD programs
- Climate Change Adaptation
- Mechanical Engineering

The partner universities of the European Union GREEN STEM Scholarship include;
- University of Lagos, Nigeria
- University of Witwatersrand, South Africa
- University of Nairobi, Kenya
- University of Rwanda, Rwanda.
European Union GREEN STEM Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for the GREEN STEM Scholarship (Intra Africa Mobility Program), applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Be of African nationality and resident in an African country
- Be registered/admitted in/have obtained a degree from one of the partner universities or another University that is not participating as a partner but is established in Africa.
- Women with specific needs or assistance are welcome and will be supported during their mobility.
