Details of MTN ICT and Business Skill Training Program
MTN ICT and Business Skills Training is a Youth Development initiative aimed at equipping young entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 years with tech enabled skills to keep their small businesses relevant and competitive.
In partnership with some of MTN’s ecosystem partners – Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Digital Bridge Institute, CISCO, Google, Meta, and Microsoft, 5 Phases of the ICT and Business Skills Training have been implemented in 16 states since 2018.
MTN ICT and Business Skill Training Program Requirements
The following are the critical requirements of the MTN ICT and Business Skills Training programme;
- Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years
- Applicant must own and manage a small business that has been in operation for no longer than 2 years
- He/She must also own and manage a small business located in one of the following states – Abuja, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Enugu, Ondo, Plateau, Sokoto, or Taraba.

MTN ICT and Business Skill Training Program Benefits and Timeline
- Participants will be given data for the duration of the programme to support a seamless learning experience. Not only that, the top 600 participants will be supported with an Equipment Grant worth ₦300,000,000! Yes, you read that right.
Microsoft will train participants on Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age, ICT for Business Success and their new Generative AI skills.

Meta: will train participants on Skills to Build Brands and Grow Businesses Online through their Meta Boost for Small Business.
The training will be delivered through a 5-week online programme which includes Masterclasses from key industry experts.
Training Locations
They are Oyo, Kano, Nasarawa, Imo, Rivers, Abia, Akwa Ibom, Borno, Kaduna, Katsina, Adamawa, Anambra, Cross River, Jigawa, Kogi, Lagos, Edo, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Kebbi, Yobe and Niger.. So far, 6000+ young people have completed this programme.
