2026 UNHCR TAGDev Scholarship 2.0 Details

The UNHCR TAGDev Scholarship 2.0 is a collaboration between The Regional University Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) Mastercard Foundation, the Global Confederation of Higher Education Associations for Agricultural and life Sciences (GCHERA) and 12 African universities.

The TAGDev 2.0 programme was created to revolutionize agricultural education by strengthening universities and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

It serves communities by skilling and equipping students and their institutions to drive inclusive, equitable and climate resilient transformative agriculture and agri-food systems, with a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship.

2026 UNHCR TAGDev Scholarship 2.0 Requirements

To be eligible for the UNHCR TAGDev Scholarship 2.0, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be a young African, both male and female,
  • Be under the age of 35
  • Be interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture

  • Be willing to participate in the program’s information-sharing sessions regarding the application process.
  • In addition, those with disabilities, asylum seekers, refugees, and people who have been internally displaced are strongly encouraged to apply.

How To Apply for UNHCR TAGDev Scholarship 2.0

To apply for the UN UNHCR TAGDev Scholarship 2.0, follow the instructions we have outlined below; 

  • Read the information we have provided on this webpage and ensure your eligibility
  • Select your preferred country of study from the available options.
  • The application process will be in two stages. The first stage is an application for admission to the programme of choice (Only one) submitted to the University of Cape Coast.
  • The second stage is an application for the TAGDev 2.0 scholarship submitted to RUFORUM. Both stages have to be done concurrently.
