The Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education is excited to announce the continuation of the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) scholarship program.

This program is dedicated to supporting students from developing countries who wish to pursue their master’s degree at Indonesian Universities.

The KNB Scholarship, a renowned initiative by Indonesia’s Directorate General of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education and Culture, aims to assist international students from developing nations.

The scholarship facilitates these students in pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees at Indonesian universities.

Indonesian Government KNB Scholarships 2026 Requirements

To be eligible for the undergraduate and postgraduate Indonesia Government KNB Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

For Bachelor’s Program

  • Maximum age limit: 21 years
  • Must possess a High School degree
  • Required English Proficiency: IBT TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.0, or TOEIC 700 (Not required if you are from an English-speaking country)
  • Recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or the Consulate General is needed
  • Employer/immediate supervisor recommendation required
  • Academic recommendation from previous schools
  • Citizenship proof (Passport or Personal ID)
  • Complete the online application at http://knb.kemdikbud.go.id

For Master’s Program

  • Maximum age limit: 35 years
  • Bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite
  • Required English Proficiency: IBT TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.0, or TOEIC 700 (Not required if you are from an English-speaking country)
  • Recommendation from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General
  • Employer/immediate supervisor recommendation required
  • Academic recommendation from previous schools
  • Proof of citizenship
