Requirements for ICTP Postgraduate Scholarship
To be eligible for the ICTP Postgraduate Scholarship
scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Young graduates in physics, mathematics, or related fields.
- A limited number of scholarships (around 10 per field) are awarded to successful candidates from developing countries.
- Selection based on university performance and academic recommendations.
- Eligibility for applicants below 28 years of age from all UN, UNESCO, or IAEA member countries.
- Minimum qualification: MSc degree (or an exceptionally good BSc) in physics, mathematics, or a related field.
Required Documents
While applying for the 2024 ICTP Postgraduate Scholarship, you will be required to submit the following documents;

- Copies of transcripts and degrees in English.
- Certificates proving the ability to follow advanced-level courses and study in English.
- Two letters of recommendation from senior scientists familiar with the applicant’s studies and work.
