Delta State Scholarship and Bursary Details

The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board (DSBSB) is a governmental agency dedicated to supporting the educational aspirations of students from Delta State.

By providing financial assistance through bursaries and scholarships, DSBSB aims to promote higher education, alleviate financial burdens on students, and contribute to the development of a skilled workforce in the state.

The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board is committed to empowering students through financial assistance, promoting academic excellence, and contributing to the overall development of Delta State.

It is hereby announced for the information of the general public and particularly students of Delta State Origin that the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board has commenced online bursary registration of Students for the State Government’s 2026/2027 Students Special Assistant Scheme (SSAS).

  • The scholarship award of up to ₦100,000 will be awarded to successful applicants.
  • The Delta State Bursary award will provide a sum of ₦10,000 to all selected beneficiaries.

Delta State Scholarship and Bursary 2026 Requirements

To be eligible for the undergraduate Delta State Scholarship and Bursary Program, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • must be of Delta State origin

  • must have National Identification Number (NIN)

  • must be registered full-time student of ONLY Government approved private and public Tertiary Institutions (PGD, Masters and PHD Student are NOT eligible)

  • must have CGPA of 2.20 and above in the previous academic year’s examination

  • be in second year (200 and above) in the Universities ND II and HND in the Polytechnic’s/ Monotechnic and NCE II-III in the colleges of Education
  • must have an account with a CBN approved commercial bank

To apply for the Delta State Scholarship and Bursary, follow the instructions we have outlined below;
