China Scholarship Council (CSC) has established the China Link Scholarship Program for international students and faculties hoping to engage in academic and research activities in China.

The China Link Scholarship is a fully funded program organized to support international students and faculty members for short-term scientific research and academic exchanges in China.

It targets young talents at partner universities who wish to deepen academic friendship and mutual understanding

China Link Scholarship Program 2026 Requirements

To be eligible for the China Link Scholarship Program 2026, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, good moral character and academic excellence, be in good health, both mentally and physically.
  • Be under 45 years of age when applying for general scholars.
  • Be under 50 years of age when applying for senior scholars.

  • Be registered as a full-time student or employed as a full-time academic staff at CSC’s foreign partner universities at the time of application and throughout their proposed stay in China.
  • Have received either the admission notice or the invitation letter issued by the Chinese host university. 

How To Apply for China Link Scholarship Program

To apply for the China Link Scholarship Program 2026, follow the instructions we have outlined below; 

  • Read the information we have provided on this webpage and ensure your eligibility
  • Applicants should contact the Chinese host university to obtain admission documents or invitations.
  • Applicants should log into the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) to complete CSC online application and upload supporting documents.
  • Application will be processed by Chinese host universities.
  • Chinese universities should submit scholarship nomination list to CSC at least 2 months before the start of study. The submission time could be flexible according to each university’s enrollment and admission arrangements.
  • CSC notifies scholarship admission result to Chinese host universities.
  • Chinese host universities will notify the scholarship admission results to applicants.
