African Union PAPSSN Scholarship Details
The Pan African PAPSSN Scholarship (PanAfrican Planetary and Space Science Network) project is funded by the Intra-Africa Mobility Scheme of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
The PAPSSN aims to create a mobility scheme for students, academic staff and support staff amongst partners from Botswana, Ethiopia, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia within the thematic fields of (STEM, and ICT)” with particular emphasis on Planetary and Space Sciences (PSS).

African Union PAPSSN Scholarship Benefits
- Tuition fees and research costs for the duration of the study.
- Comprehensive health and accident insurance cover
- Monthly stipend/allowance of Euro 1,230 per month for PhD and 890 per month for the Masters.
- This also includes travel costs to and from the host institution, Visa costs, and settling allowance.
- For PhD students, the maximum duration of a scholarship is 36 months.
- For MSc students, the maximum duration of a scholarship is 24 months.

African Union PAPSSN Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for the postgraduate African Union PAPSSN Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Be African national and residents, registered or having obtained a degree in one of the Higher Education Institutions, members of the PAPSSN consortium;
- Have sufficient knowledge of the language of the courses in the host Institutions.
- Previous and current recipients of intra-ACP or intra-Africa scholarships are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
