The AMIR Fund for Education, Science and Technology is offering up to 20 tuition scholarships to exceptionally able Muslim minority medical students from low-income households.
The aim is to help them become doctors and strengthen representation in the medical profession.

Selected awardees receive;
- 100% of tuition and mandatory school fees, paid directly to the university

2026/27 AMIR Scholarship Requirements
To be considered for the 2026/27 AMIR Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of Nigeria
- Be a Muslim student
- Be from a minority background or from low-income households
- Be studying MBBS in 200 Level or above
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.50/5.00
- Be enrolled at UI, UNILAG, OAU, ABU, BUK, UNILORIN, UNN, UNIBEN, FUMMSA Abeokuta, LASU or OOU
Eligible Programmes for AMIR Fund Medical Scholarship
The 2027 AMIR Fund Medical Scholarship is open to candidates pursuing Medicinae Baccalaureus, Baccalaureus Chirurgiae, i.e., Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
- Valid Passport or National Identity Card.
- University transcripts and degree certificates.
- Three different UK university course choices.
- Two professional or academic reference letters.
- Compelling essays for Leadership, Networking, Career Plan, and Study in the UK.
