  • MSc Position: Minimum stipend of CAD $21,000/year
  • PhD Position: Minimum stipend of CAD $26,000/year
  • Start Dates: Flexible – Fall 2025, Winter 2026, or Summer 20

University of Manitoba Graduate Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for theUniversity of Manitoba Graduate Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
    • Biosystems Engineering
    • Electrical/Computer Engineering
    • Agricultural/Biological Engineering
    • Or related fields
  • Programming and data analysis (MATLAB, Python, etc.)
  • Experience in machine learning and deep learning
  • Knowledge of sensors (NIR, X-ray, HSI, gas sensors)
  • Grain handling, post-harvest metrics, or storage modeling
  • Scientific publications or prior research experience
