University of Alberta Graduate Scholarship Details

The University of Alberta Graduate Scholarship is a graduate assistantship program for prospective Master’s and PhD candidates at the PRISM Laboratory.

Dr. Pegah Pezeshkpour. The Director of the PRISM Lab leads interdisciplinary research at the interface of engineering and materials science to develop scalable and reconfigurable microsystems using advanced microfabrication processes and novel materials for applications in health, energy monitoring devices, and assistive technologies.

The goal of the project is to develop high-resolution microfabrication processes for microsystems, including flexible sensors and liquid metal microfluidic systems.

University of Alberta Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the University of Alberta Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Have completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s of Science (or Engineering) degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Keen interest in, and/or experience (research, industrial) in the fabrication of microsystems.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team player, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
