UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Scholarship Details
The MGNL is a transformative initiative aiming to educate individuals with a global perspective, a dedication to leadership, and a profound commitment to addressing health disparities.
This scholarship is not just about financial support; it’s a platform for those committed to high academic integrity.
UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Scholarship Benefits
- Successful candidates enjoy a 100% tuition-only scholarship. However, they must commit to completing the program; failure to do so will require a refund of the entire scholarship amount.
- The MGNL program, delivered 80% online, demands students to have access to functional computers and high-speed internet. Students report to the UGHE campus for examinations for two weeks each semester.
- While UGHE covers tuition, students are responsible for all costs outside UGHE’s Butaro campus, including airfare, accommodation, meals, and visa fees.
- The award lasts for two years, and students are expected to bring personal items and toiletries as UGHE does not provide pocket money or living stipends.

UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for the UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
UGHE’s Office of Admissions adopts a holistic approach, considering a spectrum of criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program
- 5 – 7 years’ experience as a registered nurse (RN)
- Current employment as an RN
- Current non-restricted RN practice license
- Proficiency in English
- Academic documents from an accredited institution (Notarized copies)
Required Documents
While applying for the 2024 UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Scholarship, you will be required to submit the following documents;
- Letter of support for graduate study from the current employer
- Two professional referees
- Curriculum vitae (CV)
- Statement of purpose essay outlining interest in nursing leadership
- Personal interview with UGHE graduate faculty
- Proficiency in English
- Academic documents from an accredited institution (Notarized copies)
- Completed applications with NOTARIZED COPIES of academic documents
Application Procedure
How to Apply:
- Applications are submitted online, including academic qualifications and a personal statement.
- After the review, select candidates are invited for an online entrance examination, and a subset of those candidates proceed to admissions interviews.
