The Ondo State Bursary is an award of ₦50,000, while the scholarship can be up to ₦500,000 for eligible students of the state as support towards the costs of pursuing their dream education in Nigerian universities.

Students enrolled in universities, colleges, polytechnics, law schools, medical, maritime, and aviation colleges are all eligible for this opportunity.

As part of its commitment to fostering education and supporting students in their academic pursuits, the Ondo State Scholarship Board proudly announces the availability of application forms for Scholarship, Bursary Awards, and Financial Assistance for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

This initiative aims to empower students of Ondo State origin across all tertiary institutions, providing them with the financial support they need to excel in their studies.

The Ondo State Scholarship Board was set up on 26th April, 2000. It is one of the interventionist agencies of the State Government in the Education Sector.

The responsibilities of the Board are geared towards the prompt delivery of bursary, scholarship awards, and financial assistance to deserving indigenes of Ondo State in approved tertiary institutions of learning, as well as using these asa  lifeline to students with humble backgrounds.

Ondo State Scholarship Board Login 2026 Requirements

To be eligible for the Undergraduate Ondo State Scholarship and Bursary Awards, applicants must meet the following criteria:

For Ondo State Scholarship Awards

  • Students of Ondo State origin.
  • Enrolled in the second (2nd) year and above in their courses of study.
  • Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 for Universities on a scale of 4.0.
  • Minimum CGPA of 4.0 for Universities on a scale of 5.0.
  • Students in Polytechnics must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0

For Financial Assistance

  • Be Ondo State students
  • Be enrolled in Nigerian Law Schools, medical students undergoing clinical training,

Or

  • Be physically challenged students in tertiary institutions across the country.

For the Ondo State Bursary Award

  • Be students of Ondo State origin
  • Be enrolled in Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, Colleges of Education, Schools of Nursing/Midwifery, and Colleges of Health Technology across the country

Available Programmes for Ondo State Scholarship and Bursary 2025

For the 2025/26 academic session, the Shanghai Government Scholarship will accept applications to all accredited programmes in Nigerian universities.

Ondo State Scholarship Benefits and Timeline

The Ondo State Scholarship is divided into two categories: Scholarship and Bursary;

  • The Scholarship will award all selected and eligible candidates with a cash prize of ₦100,000 as support towards their education
  • The Bursary is a ₦10,000.00 cash award as a grant to support students’ expenses.
  • A special financial assistance of ₦75,000.00 yearly is granted to each of the physically challenged students who are indigenes of Ondo State in recognized tertiary institutions in Nigeria; i.e. N.C.E, O.N.D, H.N.D, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate.
  • Medical students and students in Nigerian Law Schools are awarded up to ₦500,000.
  • This award is also extended to students in Law Schools in Nigeria, as well as medical students, and is regardless of their examination grades or scores.
