The Ominira Initiative Essay Competition aims to foster a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship and democracy among young Nigerians, empowering them to become agents of positive change.
By participating in this competition, students can showcase their writing skills, gain recognition, and contribute to the discourse on entrepreneurship and democracy in Nigeria.

The top five (5) essays for the 2024 Ominira Initiative Undergraduate Essay Competition will be awarded as follows;
- 1st position – N120,000
- 2nd position – N100,000
- 3rd position – N80,000
- Consolation prizes for 4th and 5th positions.

To be eligible for the undergraduate Ominira Initiative Essay Competition, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Be an undergraduate in any Nigerian Higher Institution.
- Must not be more than 30 years of age.
