The NESG Essay Competition 2024 aims to engage young undergraduates who are passionate about national development of the country. Selected participants will be awarded with financial grants, certificates, and internship opportunities.

The essay competition on “Collaborative Action for Growth, Competitiveness, and Stability” invites participants to explore the interconnected dimensions of inclusive development, business dynamism, societal security, innovation, and stakeholder collaboration. Essays should discuss how fostering inclusive growth can drive competitiveness and stability, highlight the role of business dynamism in economic development, emphasize the importance of building a secure society, and examine how innovation and digital transformation can be ignited. Furthermore, participants should underscore the necessity of collaboration among stakeholders to achieve sustainable and equitable progress.

Federal Government NESG Essay Competition Requirements

To be eligible for the Federal Government NESG Essay Competition, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Entries must be African undergraduates in Tertiary Institutions
  • Entries must be written in English Language and be the original work of the writer
  • Only one (1) entry per participant is allowed
  • The maximum word count is 1,500 per words
  • Plagiarized and AI-generated entries will be disqualified.
  • Referencing should be done using the APA style
  • All entries should be submitted before midnight (WAT) on August 14, 2024.
