Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship Details

Midwestern Oil and Gas, and SunTrust Oil hereby invites suitably qualified Nigerian students to apply for their 2025/2026 Scholarship Scheme.

The Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Scholarship Scheme is aimed at promoting academic excellence and improving skill-based education among youths of our host communities and Delta State.

Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited and its JV Partner SunTrust Oil Company Nigeria Limited have since commencing production embarked on various schemes such as Oil Company Scholarships that deliver progress to the indigenes of its host communities and Delta State in general by investing in human capital to ensure economic development.

  • The Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship Award Scheme will give successful candidates a sum of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (₦150,000) only every year.
  • The The Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship Award is renewable every year until graduation.

Midwestern Oil and Gas Company Scholarship Requirements

UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY AWARD – For Host Communities Only

  • Scholarship is open to 100 & 200 level students at the time of application.
  • Minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE including Mathematics & English, in one sitting.
  • JAMB/UTME & University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria.
  • Current University ID Card.
  • Identification letter signed by the Ward Councilor or CACC (Community Accredited Contact-men Committee).

UNIVERSITY MERIT AWARD – For Delta State Indigenes Only

  • Scholarship is open to 200 level students who must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 at the time of application.
  • Minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE including Mathematics & English, in one sitting.
  • JAMB/UTME & University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria.
  • Current University ID Card.
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of his/her first year in the University (3.5 and above).
  • Letter of identification from LGA.

How To Apply for Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship 2026

To apply for the Midwestern Oil and Gas Scholarship 2025, follow the steps we have outlined below;

  • Read the details we have provided on this website.
  • Click on the button below to visit the scholarship webpage on Schlastica.
  • Ensure you have met the requirements and gathered the required documents
  • Click on “Apply Now” tab and proceed to “Register Now” to create and activate an account.
  • Return to the Scholarship site and log in with your registered email and password to upload your information.
  • Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information and upload the required scanned documents.
  • Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
  • Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.
  • When asked to upload photo, upload a passport photograph with a white background.
  • Recheck application information to avoid errors
  • Return to “Active Scholarships” and Click on the scheme you wish to apply and Click “Apply Now” to submit information
  • You will receive a notification displayed on the screen and via email that you have successfully applied. To confirm Check “My application” under “My account” section on your profile account.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the proctored computer-based test.
  • Only successful candidates at each selection stage will be contacted.
