Macquarie University Research Scholarships Requirements
To be eligible for the postgraduate Macquarie University Research Scholarships, applicants must satisfy the following conditions;
1. Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements for entry into the desired postgraduate research program.
- This typically includes a bachelor’s degree with first- or upper-second-class honors or a master’s degree with a significant research component.
2. English Language Proficiency:
- Applicants must meet the university’s English language requirements.
- As of February 27, 2024, Macquarie University accepts the Duolingo English Test (DET), with a minimum score of 95 for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
3. Research Alignment:
- The applicant’s proposed research should align with the university’s research priorities and capabilities.
4. International Students:
- International students who do not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status are the main target for the scholarships.
Note that the application deadline for the International Research Scholarship Round is March 1, 2024.
Application Procedure
- Application Opening: The application for the Macquarie university international research scholarships opens on January 15, 2024.
- Submission Deadline: The deadline for the International Research Scholarship Round is March 1, 2024.
- Online Application: Applicants must submit their application through the Macquarie University Online Application System.
- Academic Referee Reports: Two academic referee reports are required as part of the application process, providing insight into the applicant’s academic and research capabilities.
