Why KPMG Summer Internships?

Kickstart your career through the KPG summer internship scheme. 

The internship programme is designed to immerse you in KPMG and its culture. 

The program will give you the chance to gain an invaluable overview of the professional services sector. This will give you an excellent insight into the work we do, our culture and people, and provide you with some interactive learning opportunities to enhance your skills.

During your internship, you’ll also have the opportunity to have some fun and get to know our people better at one of our many social events.

KPMG Summer Internships Requirements

To apply for the KPMG Summer Internship Program, interested and qualified candidates must satisfy the following criteria;

  • Have a minimum 5x A* – C at GCSE level 
  • Be on your way to completing your A Levels (or equivalent) with a minimum predicted grade of BBC or higher, or a university degree of 2:1 or higher 
  • Have a genuine interest in considering a career in accountancy.
  • Must be able to commit to the dates stated above
  • Be residentially qualified

KPMG Summer Internships Benefits and Timeline

  • The KPMG Summer Internships run throughout the summer, in the audit, tax or advisory departments.
  • The programme starts from Monday 27th July – Friday 28th August for all interns in each departments. 
  • The scheme is designed to equip you with the skills and experience needed to kickstart a career in financial services.
  • You’ll be appointed a buddy as your direct contact to provide any advice and guidance you may need.
  • If all goes well, you could even land yourself a job offer!

Over the 5 weeks, you will be have the opportunity to experience a wide range of training, activities, and presentations to give you an in-depth understanding of life as a trainee at KPMG and our working culture. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Working on active client work within your chosen department
  • Excel Training
  • Introduction to Accounting professional qualifications
  • Introduction to basic accountancy training
  • Volunteering afternoon
  • Presentation skills training
  • A buddy to be your main point of contact for any questions
  • Direct contact with our professionals who can offer first-hand advice and guidance
