In a bid to cushion the effect of subsidy removal, the Kwara State Government Subsidy Palliative will provide a cash deposit of N10,000.00 to students studying in public tertiary institutions.

The Kwara State Government under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, through her scholarship board has announced a subsidy removal palliative for all eligible undergraduate students in Nigerian universities.

Scholarship Details

The Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq, has through the Kwara State Government Scholarship Board, approved the payment of fuel subsidy removal palliative in cash to undergraduate students of Kwara State origin in public-owned tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The board amidst all other activities have the mandate to award state scholarship to indigenes/merit students across the public tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, disburse bursary award (Annual Stipend) to Kwara indigenes in all public Tertiary Institutions across the country, and coordinate interview and nomination of Federal scholarship awards.

Scholarship Requirements

All candidates registering for the 2023 Kwara State Government Subsidy Palliative must meet the following requirements;

  • Be an indigene of Kwara State
  • Be studying in a public tertiary institution in Nigeria (University, Polytechnic, College of Education)
  • Possess a citizenship certificate
  • submit the formal application online on the Scholarship Board’s portal
