To be eligible for the undergraduate Anthony Udokwu Foundation Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be a Nigerian registered undergraduate

Students Living with Disabilities

  • Must provide official confirmation from their University Medical Centre or relevant institutional office.
  • Informal letters or unverified statements will not be accepted.
  • Exception: Clearly verifiable physical disabilities may be assessed without medical documentation.

Orphans

  • Primarily open to students who have lost both parents.
  • Exceptional cases may be considered where one parent has permanently abandoned or disowned the applicant.
  • Claims must be verified by a recognised community authority (e.g. King, Traditional Ruler, etc) using:
    • Official letterhead
    • Stamp or seal
    • Hand signature and date
    • Verifiable contact details and a traceable address

Students Facing Critical Extenuating Circumstances, Abuse or Exploitation

Eligible situations may include, but are not limited to:

  • House helps or domestic workers facing exploitation, coercion, unpaid labour, or abuse while attempting to pursue education
  • Survivors of rape or sexual violence, where the impact has directly disrupted education or safety
  • Students experiencing physical, emotional, or sexual abuse by guardians, relatives, employers, or authority figures
  • Students subjected to exploitation, including demands for sexual favours or forced labour in exchange for school fees, accommodation, or basic needs
  • Marginalised students facing rejection, discrimination, or systemic neglect within family or community structures etc.

All claims must be supported by official, verifiable documentation. Verification may be provided by a recognised authority and confirm the circumstances as stated.
