University of Delaware Scholarships Details

University of Delaware Scholarships is  A M. S. graduate assistantship is available in the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology at the University of Delaware starting in July 2026.

The research will focus on investigating the abundance and occupancy of mesocarnivores in Delaware with an emphasis on gray fox and possibly weasels.  The student will coordinate a camera trap survey across the entire state. 

It will be the first survey of mesocarnivores conducted in Delaware. The student will be responsible for coordinating and conducting fieldwork associated with the project. The selected candidate will also be responsible for data entry, data analysis, and writing reports. 

The goal will be to provide information to the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife to better manage these carnivore species. The development of additional research objectives by the student will be encouraged.  This position will be a joint position in the Bowman/Holland research lab.

To be eligible for the 2026 University of Delaware Masters Scholarships, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be interested in pursuing a M.S. in Wildlife Ecology.
  • Have a B.S. degree in wildlife ecology or a closely related discipline. 
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0.
