The Abia TechRise Digital Skill Programme is a 12–16 weeks of immersive training that offers free laptops, meals, accommodation and employment opportunities.

TechRise is a fully immersive programme. Partial participation undermines your own outcomes and denies a committed candidate their opportunity. The following categories of applicants will be asked to step aside.

Available Programmes for Abia TechRise Digital Skill Programme

For the 2026 Cohort 3, the Abia TechRise Digital Skill Programme will accept applications to the following programmes;

  • Full-Stack Development (JavaScript & Python).
  • Cybersecurity & Data Engineering.
  • AI, Machine Learning, and Prompt Engineering.
  • Mobile App Development (React Native/JavaScript).
  • Product Management & UI/UX Design.
  • 3D Animation & Game Development (with Godot/Blender)

Abia TechRise Digital Skill Programme Requirements

To be eligible for the Abia TechRise Digital Skill Programme, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • An Abia State indigene or resident aged 18 to 35 years at the time of application.
  • Fully available to live on campus for the entire 12–16 week programme duration with no conflicting commitments.
  • Able to commit a minimum of 10 hours daily to learning and programme activities.
  • In possession of a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
  • In possession of a valid Abia State Social Investment Number (ABSSIN).
  • Comfortable with the basics of computer operation — typing, file management, and internet browsing.
  • A civil servant granted official study leave by your MDA (Ministry, Department, or Agency) for the full programme duration.

You Are NOT Eligible If You Are…

  • Currently employed in any full-time or part-time job that would conflict with the 10-hour daily commitment required by the programme.
  • A civil servant without an officially documented and approved study leave from your MDA.
  • A full-time undergraduate student currently engaged with a school academic calendar that cannot be paused for the programme duration.
  • A nursing mother or any person with caregiving responsibilities that would prevent full residential participation.
  • Unable to reside on camp for the full duration of the programme without special exemptions.
  • Applying for Cybersecurity without prior training or demonstrated knowledge in computer hardware or networking.

Abia TechRise Digital Skill Programme Required Documents

While applying for the 2026 Cohort 3 of Abia TechRise Digital Skill Programme, you will be required to submit the following documents;

  • Complete Application Form
  • Valid NIN
  • Valid ABSSIN
  • Proof of Age
  • Local Government of Origin Certificate
  • A guarantor reference
