Skill Up Abia Women Details

The Skill Up Abia Women Programme is a fully sponsored vocational training initiative designed to empower young, vulnerable women across all 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Abia State.

Sponsored by the Safe Tent Care Initiative (STCI) in collaboration with the office of the Wife of the Governor, Mrs. Priscilla Otti, the program provides intensive hands-on training to help participants achieve financial independence.

Selected participants will get free three (3) months training in specific skills like:

  • Hairdressing
  • Make-up & Gele Tying •
  • Confectioneries & Food Processing
  • Bag & Shoe Making

Skill Up Abia Women Requirements

To be considered for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Gender: Female.
  • Age: 16–35 years old.
  • Status: Indigent or vulnerable individuals in need of income-generating skills.
  • Commitment: Must be able to attend at least 80% of the program.
  • Restriction: Individuals who already possess a skill or trade are asked not to apply to leave room for those who truly need it
