European Union Traineeship Program Details
European Union Traineeship Program: Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Nigeria?
The Traineeship is within the Political, Press and Information Section (PPI) of the EU Delegation to Nigeria, with earliest start on 01/07/2024.
The PPI Section of the EU Delegation is in charge of supporting the Head of Delegation in maintaining and advancing political relations with Nigeria and ECOWAS.
PPI also engages in analysing and reporting on political developments, engaging with government and local authorities, civil society organizations, think tanks and the media.
European Union Traineeship Benefits
A Traineeship of up to 6 months offering the following benefits;
- Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses.
- On average, trainees can expect to receive approximately €500 per month.
- This financial support is designed to help cover living expenses during the traineeship

European Union Traineeship Program Requirements
To be eligible for the European Union Traineeship Program, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- be aged 18 or over;
- hold a university-level degree;
Your roles as a trainee will include;
- To draft reports on internal political developments, human rights, economic situation, regional issues, foreign policy and/or other policy areas of relevance for the EU interests and values;
- To support the PPI Section in organisation of meetings/drafting the meeting minutes;
- To support the PPI Section on communication activities;
- To support the PPI Section on public diplomacy evets;
- To support the PPI section on preparation of visits from EEAS HQ and other EU institutions.

While applying for the 2024 European Union Traineeship Program, you will be required to submit the following documents;
- A detailed standard Europass curriculum vitae (CV) (CVs in other format will not be considered)
- a cover letter describing why you want to participate in a EU traineeship
- and an application form
