Macqueen Scholarship Requirements
To be considered for the Macqueen Scholarship, candidates must submit two separate applications by the deadline:
- Application for admission to the Ph.D. program in social work (submitted no later than five business days before the scholarship deadline).
- Application for the Macqueen PhD Scholarship.

Macqueen Scholarships Benefits and Timeline
The award covers:
- Full tuition fees (UK, EU or Overseas level)
- The stipend will be set to the UKRI level for 2024/25. For reference, the UKRI level for 2023/24 is currently £18,622 for full-time students, or the pro rata equivalent for part-time students.
- a £750 annual research grant
The award is made for 3 years for full time students or 6 years pro-rata for part-time students.
