The University of Padua is proud to announce the availability of 59 scholarships under its esteemed International Excellence Scholarship Program.
This scholarship is designed for exceptionally talented candidates who aspire to pursue their Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in English.
The program is known for its rigorous selection process, focusing on candidates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and records.
University of Padua International Excellence Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for the undergraduate and postgraduate University of Padua International Excellence Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
This scholarship program is open to highly talented international students globally. Eligible candidates must:
- Not hold Italian citizenship (dual citizenship holders exempted).
- Possess a non-Italian secondary school diploma for Bachelor’s/Single-cycle degrees, or a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree for Master’s.
- Not be residing in Italy.
- Apply to English-taught degree programs at the University of Padua (up to 3 programs).
Meeting these criteria ensures automatic consideration for the scholarship, with no need for a separate application.
Conditions for Scholarship Revocation
The University reserves the right to revoke the scholarship if:
- The student fails to earn at least 20 ECTS by 30th November of the following academic year.
- The student transfers to another university or withdraws from studies. In such cases, the scholarship amount received must be refunded.

Recipients of the University of Padua International Excellence Scholarship will enjoy significant financial benefits.
The scholarship includes a full waiver of tuition fees, plus an annual stipend of €8,000 (gross). Beneficiaries are only required to pay a nominal admission fee, which includes the regional tax and marca da bollo.
Duration of the Scholarship: Covering Key Academic Phases
The scholarship spans a maximum duration of:
- 2 years for those pursuing a Master’s degree.
- 3 years for Bachelor’s and Single-Cycle degree students.
Post this period, students must self-finance their studies and cover all tuition fees till graduation.
Selection Criteria: Excellence and Academic Merit
The Academic Committee of each degree program will shortlist and award scholarships to the most deserving candidates. Selection is based on academic excellence, quality, and previous academic records.
Application Procedure
Once you apply to the University of Padua, you are automatically considered for the scholarship upon applying for an eligible English-taught degree program at the University of Padua.
There are no additional documents or separate applications required for the scholarship consideration.
Announcement of Results: Timely and Transparent
Scholarship results will be published on the University’s official website according to the schedule in the Call for applications.
Priority is given to candidates applying in the first application period, with some exceptions made for the second period.
Scholarship Acceptance and Payment Terms
Selected candidates will receive detailed instructions on accepting the scholarship. To maintain eligibility, recipients must not hold other grants and meet enrolment conditions at the University of Padua.
The scholarship is disbursed in two instalments of €4,000 each, based on meeting the merit requirements.
