To satisfy the undergraduate York University Presidential Scholarship requirements, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an international student who requires a Study Permit to study in Canada.
  • Have applied to an undergraduate degree program at York University, with the intended start date in Fall 2026.
  • Apply to York University directly from high school within two years of graduation, without any prior university or college studies (with the exception of the Tentanda Via Award).
  • Maintain an outstanding academic record with a minimum “A” average or its equivalent (where applicable).
  • Demonstrate leadership through community service or excel in the arts, sports, or other areas of individual achievement (where applicable).
  • Submit one letter of recommendation or other supporting documents as required.
  • Ensure all necessary documents are marked as “Received” in the York application (MyFile) by November 1, 2025, at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time.
  • Complete and submit the online International Student Scholarship Application by November 1, 2025, at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time.
