- The scholarship is renewable for an additional three years of full-time undergraduate study, provided that the student maintains good academic standing each year. This renewal extends the total scholarship value to $180,000 over four years.
York University Presidential Scholarship Requirements
To be considered for the 2027 award, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Be an international student who requires a Study Permit to study in Canada.
- Have applied to an undergraduate degree program at York University, with the intended start date in Fall 2027.
- Apply to York University directly from high school within two years of graduation, without any prior university or college studies (with the exception of the Tentanda Via Award).
- Maintain an outstanding academic record with a minimum “A” average or its equivalent (where applicable).
- Demonstrate leadership through community service or excel in the arts, sports, or other areas of individual achievement (where applicable).
- Submit one letter of recommendation or other supporting documents as required.
- Ensure all necessary documents are marked as “Received” in the York application (MyFile) by October 1, 2026, at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time.
