The Wole Ogunyemi Undergraduate Scholarship offers a cash prize of N50,000 (junior secondary school) or N75,000 (senior secondary school) and  â‚¦100,000 (undergraduate), to cover a range of educational expenses including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation.

The Wole Ogunyemi Foundation is a non-profit organization, working to increase school enrolment and completion rates in Nigeria through scholarships, grants, and outreaches targeted at underserved communities and students from poor backgrounds.

The Wole Ogunyemi Foundation scholarship program offers financial support to economically disadvantaged students in Nigerian universities.

Selected awardees receive a comprehensive financial package that removes financial barriers:

  • Undergraduate Students: a cash prize of ₦100,000
  • Senior Secondary School: a sessional prize of N75,000
  • Junior Secondary School: a sessional prize of N50,000
  • SSCE Candidate: the cost of WAEC and NECO examinations.
  • Vocational Education: a sessional prize of between N75,000 and N100,000.
  • Postgraduate Students: a cash prize of ₦250,000

To be considered for the 2026 Wole Ogunyemi Foundation Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of Nigeria
  • Currently enrolled in any accredited educational institutions (as may apply for candidates’s category)
  • Demonstrate a record of academic excellence. A minimum CGPA (cumulative grade point average) of 3.5 or its equivalent for undergraduate students.
  • Be involved in social impact or community organizing (Postgraduate students only)
  • Not a beneficiary of any other scholarship or study grant

The 2026 Wole Ogunyemi Foundation Scholarship is open to candidates pursuing the following programmes;

  • Undergraduate Study
  • Senior Secondary School Program
  • Junior Secondary School Program
  • SSCE Candidate
  • Any vocational training program.
  • Postgraduate Study

To complete your application, prepare the following documents in advance:

  • Complete Application Form
  • Copy of transcript from the last academic session. (All except vocational study program)
  • Copy of WAEC or NECO result. (undergraduate only)
  • Copy of undergraduate degree certificate (postgraduate candidates only)
  • Copy of resume and a 300-word personal statement (postgraduate candidates only)
  • A signed letter of recommendation (Download Reference Letter template).
