The WIPO/Africa University Masters Scholarship  covers Return ticket, Registration and tuition fees, Full board and lodging, Medical insurance, and Visa costs for selected candidates.
This prestigious Master’s Degree program is a collaboration between the WIPO Academy, the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), and Africa University in Mutare, Zimbabwe.

WIPO/Africa University Masters Scholarship Benefits
- Number of Awards: 35 places available for self-supported and financed students.
Value of the Award
A number of WIPO scholarships are available, covering:
- Return ticket
- Registration and tuition fees
- Full board and lodging
- Medical insurance
- Visa costs (if any, at the expense of participants)
Successful candidates will be notified by the WIPO Academy and provided with relevant information, including travel arrangements.
Upon completion, students will be awarded Master’s Degrees in Intellectual Property (MIP) by Africa University on behalf of WIPO and ARIPO.

The WIPO/Africa University Masters Scholarship is to be undertaken at the Africa University in Mutare, Zimbabwe.
WIPO/Africa University Masters Scholarship Requirements
African nationals with at least a Bachelor’s degree and proficiency in English are eligible to apply for the WIPO/Africa University Masters Scholarship.

While applying for the 2024 WIPO/Africa University Masters Scholarship, you will be required to submit the following documents;

Application Procedure
Program Dates
- May to July 2024: Compulsory distance learning phase through the WIPO Academy e-Learning Center, including a final exam.
- August to December 2024: Residential phase in Mutare, Zimbabwe, with a two-week practical training at ARIPO Headquarters in Harare.
- December 2024 to April 2025: Finalization and submission of a dissertation.
