University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarship 2026 Details

The University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarship 2026 is a mission-driven opportunity established to assist students whose education has been disrupted by conflict, persecution, or forced displacement.

Set up in 2022, the programme is part of the university’s social responsibility mission to provide access to quality higher education for students at serious risk who have fled their homes due to armed conflict.

Up to six fully funded undergraduate scholarships are available for September 2026 entry, offering recipients a path to restart their academic journey in one of the UK’s leading research universities.

The results for the scholarship application will be announced on End of May 2026 and scholars will start their studies on September 2026

Available Programmes for University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarship 2026

The University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarship 2026 will accept applications to the following programmes;

  • Most 3-year undergraduate degrees – browse our courses for specific academic and English entry requirements.
  • You can apply for the Integrated Foundation Year or Biosciences Foundation Year if you don’t meet entry requirements.
    • The scholarship does not cover the Humanities Foundation course run with INTO Manchester.
  • Courses not covered by the scholarship: Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing or Architecture.

To be eligible for University of Manchester Humanitarian Scholarship 2026, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be at serious risk due to war or armed conflict
  • Have been forced to leave their home country (or relocate within it) in the last three years because of conflict
  • Be unable to start or complete a university degree without financial support
  • Have never studied in the UK or the EU before
