The University of Leicester has welcomed over 60 Chevening Scholars since 2013 from all over the world and is a long-standing member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

The Chevening Leicester Partner Scholarship offers two fully funded scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year, providing recipients with a comprehensive package of support, ensuring they can focus entirely on their studies without financial worries.

The Chevening Leicester Partner Scholarship is designed to cover all essential expenses, including:

• Return Airfare: A round-trip flight from your home country to the UK.
• Full Tuition Fee Waiver: Complete coverage of tuition fees for your chosen program.
• Living Stipend: A generous stipend to cover living costs throughout your study period.
• Additional Allowances: Further financial support to cover various other necessary expenses during your stay in the UK.

Chevening Leicester Partner Scholarship Requirements

To be considered for the 2027 Chevening Leicester Partner Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

• Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
• Return to your home country for a minimum of two years after your scholarship finishes.
• Have an undergraduate degree that enables you to gain entry into a postgraduate program at a UK university (typically a 2:1 or 2:2 equivalent).
• Have completed at least two years of work experience (equivalent to 2,800 hours), which can include voluntary work or paid employment.
• Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and receive an unconditional offer from at least one.

Eligible Programmes for Chevening Scholarship

The 2027 Chevening Scholarship is open to candidates pursuing the following programmes;

• one-year taught Master’s course within the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities or the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment.
