Greater Works Foundation Scholarship Details

The Adedeji Scholarship Program celebrates students (in their freshman, second or penultimate year) who refuse to be defined by a single path.

Named in honor of a journey that embraced both academic rigor and boundless curiosity, this scholarship recognizes students who excel in their chosen academic major while actively exploring diverse passions—whether in entrepreneurship, the arts, public service, or fields far beyond their core discipline.

This scholarship honors students who embody intellectual courage: those who take the studio art class/training, launch social ventures, volunteer in their community, join productions in theater arts, etc. We seek students whose transcripts and activities tell a story not just of achievement, but of adventure—of minds too curious to be confined to a single category.

The Adedeji Scholarship Program Benefits

The The Adedeji Scholarship Program offers the following benefits;

  • Renewable for one extra academic session based on exceptional performance
  • Acceptance into the 1 year ASP Scholars Fellowship

Eligible Programmes for Greater Works Foundation Scholarship

Students in the following programmes are eligible to apply:

  • Arts and Humanities
  • Economics
  • The Social Sciences

Greater Works Foundation Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the Greater Works Foundation Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be a student of University of Ibadan
  • Be currently enrolled 100-300 level students
  • Demonstrate engagement in meaningful enrichment activities within or outside campus
  • Be a student from faculty of Economics, Social Science, and Arts.

While applying for the Adedeji Scholarship Program 2027, you will be required to submit the following documents;

  • Completed application form
  • Official transcript showing current GPA / Original JAMB Result slip for current 100 level students
  • Personal essay (no more than 250 words) answering the prompt: Share how your curiosity, passion, or interests have led you to pursue meaningful endeavors that may or may not align directly with your course of study. How do you plan to use that perspective in shaping your path after your studies, and what role do you see your current education playing in that journey?
  • Supporting evidence to strengthen your application.
