Southwest University President Scholarship Details

The Southwest University (SWU) President Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity for international students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees in China for the 2026 academic year.

It is designed to foster international exchange and supports studies at Southwest University

In order to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the people of China and the rest of the world, Southwest University offers the president scholarship to sponsor international students and scholars to undertake studies and research.

Southwest University President Scholarship Benefits

The scholarships are either Type A or Type B in category, covering the costs of tuition, healthcare, and monthly living allowances.

A. Type A Scholarship covers tuition and living allowance.

  • Undergraduate: CNY 1100/Month
  • Graduate: CNY 1400/Month
  • Ph.D.: CNY 1700/Month

B. Type B Scholarship covers tuition.

C. Both Type A and B cover Medical Insurance 800 CNY/ year. And students need to pay the accommodation fee

SWU President Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the SWU President Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Applicants must be of foreign nationality and in good health.

  • Minimum cumulative GPA is 3.0 out of 4.0 and above.
  • Minimum score is 80 out of 100 and above.
  • Applicants must provide language certificate such as HSK, TOEFL-ibt, IELTS and prove that his or her language proficiency meets the requirements of daily communication and academic presentation in Chinese campus.
