Skoltech University Scholarships Requirements
To be eligible for the postgraduate Skoltech University Scholarships, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- For Master’s programs
An appropriate bachelor’s or specialist degree or its equivalent, from an accredited university. - For Doctoral programs
An appropriate master’s or specialist degree or its equivalent, from an accredited university. - Skolrech receive more applications each year from excellent candidates than she has places available, meeting the minimum admissions requirement does not necessarily guarantee admission.

Available Programmes
Successful applicants have generally received previous education and training in fields relevant to our programs, including:
- Computer science, computer engineering, computational mathematics, mathematics & applied mathematics, informatics, etc.
- Physics, applied physics
- Chemistry, chemical engineering
- Biology, molecular biology, bio-engineering, biochemistry, biophysics, bioinformatics, systems biology
- Materials science and engineering
- Aerospace science and engineering, astrophysics
- Mechanical engineering
- Petroleum and gas engineering, geophysics, geology, geological engineering
Students whose primary education is in the humanities, business, or social sciences must have significant training in a field related to one of Skoltech’s programs.
Skoltech University Scholarships Benefits and Timeline
- Tuition fees
- Significant stipends are available, which depend on students’ academic standing, starting at 40,000 RUR per month at MSc programs.
- Free medical insurance.

Required Documents for Skoltech University Scholarship
While applying for the 2024 Skoltech University Scholarships, you will be required to submit the following documents;
- complete Application Form
- a CV,
- motivation letter,
- two letters of recommendation,
- TOEFL/IELTS score report (if applicable),
- diploma and academic transcript (if applicable).
Applicants who do not have a proof of English proficiency may take the English language proficiency test during a Selection Weekend at Skoltech.
How To Apply for Skoltech University Scholarship 2024
Application to Skoltech consists of three stages:
Stage 1. Application at Skoltech’s online portal
The online application includes your CV, motivation letter, 2 reference letters, diploma, academic transcript (if available), and TOEFL/IELTS score (if available).
Stage 2. Online Testing
All applicants must pass an online test. The better you pass it, the more chances you will have to get to the next step.

Stage 3. Selection Days
Every year, Master of Science applicants from across Russia and around the world converge at Skoltech for the Selection Days and a chance to gain admission to one of the Institute’s growing programs.
During Selection Days, participants go through interviews and an English test.
