Singapore International Graduate Award Details
The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a collaborative effort between prominent institutions such as;
- The Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR),
- Nanyang Technological University (NTU),
- National University of Singapore (NUS),
- Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and
- Singapore Management University (SMU).
The PhD training, conducted in English at A*STAR research institutes and NTU/NUS/SUTD/SMU, culminates in the awarding of a PhD degree by NTU, NUS, SUTD, or SMU upon successful program completion.

Singapore International Graduate Award Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA Scholarship), applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an international graduate with a passion for research and outstanding academic results.
- Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents, and international students studying/having studied in Singapore tertiary institutions are ineligible.
- Proficient skills in both written and spoken English.
- Favorable reports from academic referees.
The eligibility criteria may be expanded at the discretion of A*STAR, incorporating additional selection criteria based on prevailing scholarship policies. It is essential to note that these policies might be subject to periodic amendments without prior notice.

Required Documents for Singapore International Graduate Award 2025
Candidates are advised to prepare the following documents before initiating the online application:
- Valid Passport
- Recent passport-sized photo (in .jpeg or .png format)
- Transcripts and Reports (English translations required)
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s academic transcripts
- Bachelor’s Degree certificate(s)/scroll(s) or a certification letter from the university for ongoing candidatures
- Two recommendation reports (completed and submitted online by referees)
- GRE scores (for applicants to NUS supervisors/projects)
- IELTS/TOEFL/SAT I & II/GATE results (optional, requested later by the university for admission)

The Singapore International Graduate Award provides support for up to 4 years of PhD studies coveriing:

- Monthly stipend of S$2,200 which will be increased to S$2,700 after the passing of the Qualifying Examination
