RTEF Scholarship Details
Ruth Titilayo Educational Foundation is pleased to offer several scholarships, awarded to successful applicants who are currently studying within the Nigeria.Â
The scholarships are open and awarded to applicants enrolled in secondary, tertiary (undergraduate and postgraduate), polytechnics, and vocational institutes within the federation.
The Ruth Titilayo Educational Foundation is on a mission to make quality education accessible to all, believing that education is a fundamental right rather than a privilege.
With this vision in mind, the RTEF Scholarship was established to eliminate financial barriers that may hinder brilliant students from receiving the education they deserve.
2025 Ruth Titilayo Educational Foundation Scholarship Requirements
To be eligible for the Ruth Titilayo Educational Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Nigerian citizen.
- Be a student currently enrolled in secondary, vocational and technical, undergraduate (university or polytechnic), or postgraduate level of study.
- Possess a strong academic background.
- Demonstrate a commitment to your studies and a passion for education.
- Be under the age of 25
- Submit your application before the specified deadline.
*Final year undergraduates are also eligible for the Ruth Titilayo Foundation Undergraduate scholarship.

Ruth Titilayo Educational Foundation Programmes
The RTEF Scholarship covers a wide array of educational programs, including those at the secondary, tertiary, and vocational levels.
As long as you are a student currently pursuing one of these educational paths, you are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
TREF Scholarship Benefits and Timeline
The RTEF Scholarship provides its beneficiaries with comprehensive financial support to ensure they can focus on their education and academic goals. The scholarship covers the following expenses:
- tuition allowance up to #100,000
- maintenance allowance up to #15,000
- Further allowances – for example internal travel costs associated with the course of study or research and fieldwork expenses – are paid at the discretion of the committee.

When applying for the 2025 RTEF Scholarship, you will need to submit the following documents:

- Short essays addressing your academic goals, motivations for applying for the scholarship, and why you believe you should be selected.
How To Apply for 2025 RTEF Scholarship
To apply for the RTEF Scholarships;

Complete and SUBMIT the on-line application form on this website. This will include attached copies of your current school result, two reference letters from your tutors, a personal statement, and any supporting documents.
Email all supporting documents to [email protected]Â with your Full Name as the subject of the email.
If you are shortlisted, you will be invited for an online interview where you will be asked a series of competency based questions related to your current year group.
The application window will run from 1st October 2024 to 31st October 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted from the 11th November 2024.
This will be followed by an interview in December 2024 and scholarship awards to successful candidates.
