NNPC Renaissance JV Niger Delta Postgraduate Overseas Scholarship Details

Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, operator of the NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR Joint Venture, has opened applications for its 2026/2027 Niger Delta Postgraduate Overseas Scholarship, now in its 17th year with 116 scholars funded to date.

The objective of the NNPC Renaissance JV Niger Delta Postgraduate Overseas Scholarship programme is to provide postgraduate study opportunities in courses that are relevant to the oil and gas industry for qualifying students from specific Niger Delta States.

Renaissance Africa Energy offers several opportunities for Nigerians spanning SIWES/IT Program, Undergraduate University Scholarship, Graduate Programs, as well as Youth Development Programs.

Renaissance Africa Energy Overseas Scholarship Benefits

The Renaissance Africa Energy Overseas Scholarship offers the following benefits;

• Full tuition fees covered
• One economy return flight from Nigeria to the UK
• Contribution towards living expenses (based on ACU published rates)
• One-off landing/settling-in allowance
• Medical insurance in line with UK Student Visa requirements
• Reimbursement of standard visa application costs, VSF Appointment, IHS, and TB test fees

Renaissance Niger Delta Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the Renaissance Niger Delta Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

• be indigene of Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, or Rivers State
• be aged between 21 and 28 years by 30th September, 2026
• Hold, or expect to hold before programme commencement, a degree equivalent to a UK Upper Second-Class Honours degree
• Have completed NYSC by September 2026
• Hold a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or meet the chosen university’s English language requirements
• Have received a formal admission offer for one of the approved courses before applying for the scholarship
• Possess a Nigerian international passport valid until at least December 2027
• Not have previously studied in the UK or another developed country

Not Eligible:

• Employees or relatives of employees of Renaissance JV
• Former Renaissance JV employees who left less than five years ago
• Employees or relatives of employees of the participating universities
• Applicants without a formal offer for an eligible postgraduate programme

• Undergraduate documents (CV, Transcripts, Statements of Results or Certificate)
