  • Residence permit under QU sponsorship
  • The scholarship should be utilized starting from the semester in which the scholarship was awarded. If the student does not pass his/her first semester, the scholarship will be terminated and the student will be informed by QU email.

For the 2026/27 academic session, the Qatar University Scholarship is open to all master’s and doctoral programmes offered by the university.

Qatar University Graduate Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the Qatar University Graduate Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

Master’s Applicants

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher received with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8.
  • Students must satisfy additional college/program specific admission requirements.

PhD Applicants

  • A Master’s degree or higher received with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Standardized test scores (e.g. GRE, GMAT) are required for all PhD programs offered in English.
  • Applicants who have completed a professional master with a GPA of 3.0 or higher must satisfy additional college/program specific admission requirements.
