₦12 Million Opay Scholarship Details
Opay , a leading giant in the fintech and online banking sector in Nigeria, has announced the commencement of an annual Opay Scholarship program for undergraduate students.
The scholarship is an annual investment of ₦120 million awarded to 400 students from over 18 universities in Nigeria.
The scholarship grants have been inaugurated at the University of Ibadan (UI) and Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, and will soon spread to 17 other universities.
Through these scholarships, OPay will give students who stand out for their academic excellence, creative thinking, and commitment to community service vital financial support.
₦12 Million Opay Scholarship Benefits
All beneficiaries of the Opay Scholarship will receive a sum of ₦300,000.
In some schools, 40 beneficiaries will be selected in some schools, while 20 will be awarded in others.
A total of ₦1.2 billion will be spent by Opay in next ten years for this scholarship.

The scholarship has been launched by Opay at the University of Ibadan, and at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Opay Scholarships Requirements
To be eligible for the undergraduate Opay Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Institution of Study: Applications are only open to undergraduate students of the partner university, Scholarship opportunities will soon be available in other public universities nationwide.
- Course of Study: Application is open to students from all departments of the partner university.
- Level of Study: Application is open to undergraduate students of any level.
- All applicants must have an active OPay account.
How To Apply for OPay Scholarship
To apply for the Opay Scholarship, follow the instructions we have outlined below;
- Read the information we have provided on this webpage and ensure your eligibility
- The application procedure varies by each of the participating universities
- Each university will announce its mode of application during the application window.
- Some universities like UI, select the best students across all levels and automatically award the scholarship, while others release a form.
- You are encouraged to keep your CGPA as high as possible to stand a chance at winning the scholarship.
