To be eligible for the ESI Research Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Undergraduate Status: Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a Nigerian University.
- Final Year: Must be in the final year of their undergraduate studies.
- Research Project Timeline: Should have commenced or be planning to start their undergraduate research project on or before May 2024.
- Science Program: Must be studying a biological or physical science course.
- Personal Statement: Provide a personal statement (maximum 200 words) explaining why the applicant deserves the grant and a detailed breakdown of how they intend to spend the grant money (not exceeding #50,000).
- Supervisor’s Support: Must submit a supporting statement from their research supervisor (maximum 200 words).
