MTN Scholarship Details

The MTN Scholarship Scheme is awarding scholarship opportunities to qualified high performing students who are interested in pursuing a degree program in Nigeria.

This scholarship is made up of the MTN Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (MTN STSS) and the MTN Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students (MTN SSBS).

MTN Science and Technology Scholarship is available to 300 eligible Nigerian students in public tertiary institutions in their third year and will be given annually if they maintain the required grades.

The MTN Foundation will award selected applicants with a sum of N300,000.00 annually till graduation.

MTN Scholarship Test Questions Format

All candidates have equal amount of time.
Expect 200 question or more to be fully answered in 2hours.
Questions in the examination usually consist of Current Affairs, Basic Information
Technology Questions, Logical Reasoning, lexis and structure of JAMB English,
antonyms, synonyms, verbal and quantitative reasoning etc.
A transport stipend of N2500 will be disbursed either by cash immediately after
exam or DYA on a later date.
MTN Scholarship exam result is usually released about 3 weeks after the
examination.
A total of 500 winners is usually shortlisted for award.
Award ceremony holds about 3 weeks after shortlist of winners
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email and the national dailies will
also have the publication as well as the MTNF official website

How Does MTN Shortlist Applicants?

The criteria for selecting MTN Scholars include;

Students must be in Public Universities, polytechnics, and Colleges of Education and must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (second class upper credit)
The application is open to 200 & 300 level blind students in any Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
