The Light and Bells Health Foundation (LBHF) is pleased to welcome applications for its 2026 scholarship program from young Nigerian undergraduates.

The Light and Bells Foundation Scholarship is aimed at creating educational awareness and empowering young African undergraduates who are enrolled in a federal, state, or local government institutions with $100 (₦136,000).

Light and Bells Health Foundation (LBHF) was born out of a long- held dream to give back to society and transform the way health is experienced in Africa.

Officially registered in November 2024 and launched in January 2025, the LBHF’s mission is simple yet powerful: to raise awareness, educate, promote health, support the next generation of healthcare leaders, and support sustainable healthcare infrastructure for communities.

The Light and Bells Scholarship is a $100 (~₦134,000) award for each of the selected candidates.

Types of Light and Bells Health Foundation Scholarship

Light and Bells Health Foundation offers three categories of tuition support/assistance scholarships, designed to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals across Africa:

  1. G&G Tuition Support/Assistance Scholarship
    • For students pursuing Medicine (MBBS/MD degree) at any government institution
      (Federal, State, or Local).
    • Two students will be awarded.
  2. JSI Tuition Support/Assistance Scholarship
    • For students pursuing Nursing (B.N.Sc, HND, or BSN degree) at any government
      institution (Federal, State, or Local).
    • Two students will be awarded.
  3. Vision Tuition Support/Assistance Scholarship
    • For students pursuing other allied health programs such as Pharmacy, Physical
      Therapy, Public Health, and more, at any government institution (Federal, State, or
      Local).
    • Two students will be awarded.

To be considered for the 2026 Light and Bells Health Foundation Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of an African country.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited government-owned institution.
  • Be pursuing a medical-related discipline at your institution.
  • Students at any level can apply.

The Light and Bell Scholarship is open to students pursuing medical courses such as;

  • Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Pharmacy,
  • Physical Therapy,
  • Medical Laboratory Science
  • Public Health, etc

While applying for the 2026 Light and Bells Health Foundation (LBHF) Scholarships, you will be required to submit the following documents;

  • Academic Transcripts
    • Submit complete transcripts for every year of study.
    • Transcripts should not be handwritten, altered, or created using cut and paste.
    • Any falsified, altered, or misleading academic records will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Recommendation Letter
    • Must be recent (within the application cycle).
    • Must not be handwritten, reused, or generic.
    • Must be written and signed by a verifiable academic staff member from your department, college, or university.
    • Should be addressed to Light and Bells Health Foundation.
  • O-level Results
