International Health DAAD EPOS Scholarship 2027: Fully Funded

The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) in partnership with the Charité – Universitätsemedizin Berlin has opened applications for the fully funded Masters program in International Health.

International Health DAAD EPOS Scholarship covers full tuition fees, a monthly stipend of roughly €992 for master’s students, health insurance, and travel/airfare allowances

Applications for the 2027 fully funded DAAD EPOS Scholarship for MSc International Health are now open.

DAAD EPOS scholarship recipients are enrolled at Charité – Universitätsemedizin Berlin (host institution) in the postgraduate MSc International Health (MScIH). They begin the scholarship with a German language course in July and then start the MScIH with the Core Course (September to December).

The Advanced Modules (20 ECTS) follow from January to Apriln in Berlin. Up to 10 of the 20 ECTS in advanced modules can be completed at our partner universities in Heidelberg (Germany) or Bergen (Norway) during the same time period.

The final 4 months of the scholarship (May to August) are spent in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where scholars complete their Master Thesis at the National Institute of Public Health. DAAD EPOS scholarship recipients must complete the MScIH in the 12 month fast track option.

Selected awardees receive a comprehensive financial package that removes financial barriers:

  • Monthly payment of 992 euros for graduates or 1,300 euros (1,400 euros beginning with February 2026) for doctoral candidates
  • Payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover
  • Travel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another source of funding
  • Under certain circumstances, scholarship holders may receive the following additional benefits:
  • Monthly rent subsidy
  • Monthly allowance for accompanying members of family

To be considered for the 2027 DAAD EPOS Scholarship for MSc International Health, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • be from low- and middle-income countries
  • have completed an academic degree (240ECTS/4 years) with far above average results (upper third)
  • have at least two years of related professional experience after the first degree (Bachelor) at the time of application are eligible for a DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) scholarship. The applicant’s last academic degree must be less than six years old at the time of application.
  • fulfil the necessary academic requirements and can be expected to successfully complete a study programme in Germany.
  • prove your motivation is development-related and be expected to take on social responsibility and initiate and support processes of change in your personal and professional environment after the training/scholarship.
