The Henry Chijioke Ofili Foundation is dedicated to supporting the education of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate exceptional academic potential and are pursuing undergraduate degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

The scholarship is administered by The Destiny Trust , a social intervention organization focused on the education, wellbeing, and empowerment of children and young people from vulnerable groups.

Through this collaboration, we recognize the innate potential of every young person to achieve lifelong fulfillment and collectively invest in resilient youth who are taking up the power to transform the social and economic circumstances of their families and communities.

The Henry Ofili Foundation Scholarship is offered to students who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

The Henry Ofili Undergraduate Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the undergraduate The Henry Ofili Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Academic Merit

    Applicants should provide standardized test grades (A1) in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination or its equivalent in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and other core science subjects.

  • Leadership Potential

    Applicants must demonstrate leadership potential and have a verifiable track record of volunteering, community service, and a strong perception of personal integrity. 

  • Economic Disadvantage

    Applicants must belong to one or more of the following groups:

    • First-generation undergraduate students from low-income families.

    • Orphans, housing-insecure, and displaced children/youths who completed basic education through sheer resilience.
