2026 Government of Taiwan Scholarship Requirements

To be eligible for the undergraduate and postgraduate Government of Taiwan Scholarships, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

Citizenship in a country eligible for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship.
Non-national of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or an overseas compatriot student.
Meeting partner university admission requirements.
Fulfilling Resident Visa (Code: FS) and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) requirements.
Not holding another ROC (Taiwan) government-sponsored scholarship in the same academic year.
Not applying for another TaiwanICDF scholarship in unbroken succession.
Providing the highest-level diploma by July 31, 2026.
No previous scholarship revocation by any ROC (Taiwan) government agency or expulsion from any Taiwanese university.

Government of TaiwanICDF Scholarship Benefits and Timeline

Successful candidates of the TaiwanICDF Scholarship will receive comprehensive support, encompassing:

Airfare: Round-trip economy class tickets arranged by TaiwanICDF.
Housing: Mandatory accommodation in student dormitories.
Tuition: Full coverage of university tuition fees.
Credit Fees and Insurance: Coverage as required by the university.
Textbook Costs: Subject to the approval of the institute’s director.
Monthly Allowance: Provided to each student during the award period.

How To Apply for 2026 Government of TaiwanICDF Scholarship

Interested and eligible candidates should apply online at the TaiwanICDF website before March 15, 2026.
The application involves submitting admission documents to both TaiwanICDF and partner universities.
Additionally, candidates must submit necessary documents to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy or Representative Office in their country.

Selection and Notification

After reviewing recommended applicants, TaiwanICDF will announce the successful candidates in June 2026.
It is important to note that university applications must be made separately, adhering to individual university requirements.
