AIMS Scholarship Details

AIMS South Africa introduces a Master’s program in Mathematical Science, featuring an AI for Science stream.

This program is a collaborative effort with Google DeepMind. It began its pioneering journey with its inaugural batch in September 2025.

This one-year, fully residential program blends taught master’s courses with research components. It invites applications from African students who are enthusiastic about mathematics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

We seek individuals who are inquisitive about the cosmos and eager to harness their skills for scientific advancement.

Google DeepMind AIMS Scholarship 2026 Requirements

To be eligible for the postgraduate AIMS  AI for Science Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Be residing in Africa at the time of application.
  • Hold citizenship in any African country.
  • Have completed a four-year undergraduate degree, or a three-year degree with an honours year, with a significant mathematics component.
