The Federal Government’s NEXT GEN RESCO Program aims to nurture a new generation of skilled professionals in Nigeria’s renewable energy sector.
The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) in partnership with the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) and the Ecological Innovation Empowerment Initiative (EIEI) has launched the NEXT GEN RESCO Programme.
The Programme is targeted at securing the Future of Renewable Energy Industry, contributing to SDGs. Selected Applicants to gain both technical and leadership skills tailored for the renewable energy sector.

Upon the successful completion of the 12-month programme, the NEXT Gen RESCO Cohorts will have the opportunity to secure active roles in private sector companies in Nigeria, optimizing the skills garnered from the NEXT GEN RESCO Programme.

Federal Government NEXT GEN RESCO Program 2025 Requirements
To be eligible for the Federal Government NEXT GEN RESCO Program, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Be Graduates with 3.5 CGPA and above.
- Have a maximum of two years of post-graduate experience.
- Have strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Female applicants are highly encouraged to apply.
- Candidates currently serving in Abuja are also eligible to apply.
