University of Pretoria Scholarship Details

The LLM/MPhil in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA) is a one-year intensive course, offering a transformative educational experience. Participants spend six months in Pretoria and an additional six months at one of the 12 partner universities across Africa.

This program, unparalleled in its kind, provides education by distinguished lecturers in the human rights field and includes practical training exercises.

To be eligible for theUniversity of Pretoria LLM Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

For Law Students (LLM Option):

      • Must hold a degree allowing access to the legal profession (e.g., LLB or licence en droit).

For Non-law Students (MPhil Option):

      • Must have at least an Honours degree in a discipline relevant to human rights and democratization.
