Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship 2027 Details

We are now open to applications for the 2027-2029 Mundus MAPP cohort. Application deadlines for this cohort are listed in the Mundus MAPP Admissions Calendar. 

The Erasmus Mundus (EMJM) scholarship will be offered to outstanding applicants from both within and outside the EU.

Admissions to Mundus MAPP are centrally administered by Central European University Private University. Qualitative assessment of the candidates is performed jointly by the four consortium universities. Please note that only applications submitted to CEU PU in the way detailed below will be considered. It is not possible to apply to Mundus MAPP via universities other than CEU PU.

Candidates are required to fill in an online application form (see link below). Applicants do not need to pay the CEU application fee unless they apply for other CEU programs.

Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship Benefits

Selected awardees receive a comprehensive financial package that removes financial barriers:

• EMJM scholarship is calculated on the basis of a monthly unit cost of 1400 EUR/month which corresponds to a maximum scholarship amount of 33 600 Euros (24 months). This 1400 EUR monthly contribution assists students in covering travel, visa, installation and subsistence costs, and any other costs.
• EMJM scholarship recipients receive a full tuition-fee waiver.

Erasmus Mundus Masters Program in Public Policy Requirements

To be considered for the 2027 Erasmus Mundus Masters Program in Public Policy, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

• Candidates need to have a Bachelors degree comprising at least three years of studies at a recognized university or institute of higher education.
• Applicants with a degree in any of the social sciences or equivalent are given preference. Candidates with a Bachelors degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering are not eligible to apply.
• Applicants must have obtained at least class 2.1/Upper Second (if applicable), and a GPA of at least 3.17/4.0 or equivalent.
• For applicants who already hold a master’s degree in addition to their bachelor’s degree, they must also have obtained at least class 2.1/Upper Second (if applicable) and a GPA of at least 3.17/4.0 or equivalent during their master’s degree.
• Be highly motivated and interested in European and international public policy, assessed through a statement of purpose.
• Selected applicants will need to provide evidence of their English language skills with any one of the following test scores:
  • TOEFL IBT (taken within two years of the application deadline) 95 or above;
  • IELTS – Academic (taken within two years of the application deadline) 7 or above;
  • Cambridge C2 Proficiency (taken within 5 years of the application deadline) C2 or above;
  • Cambridge C1 Advanced (taken within 5 years of the application deadline) C1 or above;
  • Pearson PTE Academic (taken within 2 years of the application deadline) 76 or above;
  • Duolingo English Test (taken within two years of the application deadline) 130 or above.
• Must be physically avalaible for throughout the years of the program.

The 2027 Erasmus Mundus MAPP Scholarship is open to candidates pursuing the following programmes;

• CEU PU-IBEI track – Global Public Policy specialization
• CEU PU-York track – European Public Policy specialization
• ISS-IBEI track – Political Economy and Development specialization
• ISS-York track – Governance and Development specialization

• Completed Application Form
• Letters of Reccommendation. At least one from an academic
• An official English translation of your academic degree transcript.
• Updated curriculum vitae or resume should include a list of publications.
• Statement of Purpose (max 500 words).
• Proof of English Proficiency
