In 2024, the Embassy of France offers 9 scientific grants, each lasting for one month.

However, depending on the available budget and the duration of visits, the number of funded visits may be higher.

Timeline:

  • 26 February 2024: Launch of the call for applications
  • 26 April 2024: Deadline for application
  • 29 May 2024: Results announcement
  • 15 June 2024: Deadline for sending the full file to Campus France Paris
  • 15 September to 15 December 2024: Mobility period in France

  • Duration: From 2 weeks (14 days) to 4 weeks (28 days)
  • Number of Awards: 9
  • Benefits of the Award: The scholarship includes a round-trip air ticket, a monthly allowance, health and repatriation insurance.
  • Accommodation can be arranged through Campus France Paris, with the rent deducted from the grant.

Embassy of France in Nigeria Scholarship Requirements

  • Candidates with a tenure position in a public or private higher education institution or a scientific research laboratory accredited by the National Universities Commission are eligible.
  • PhD students and holders of PhD degrees are eligible, with a distinction between “confirmed researchers” and “young researchers” based on the duration of obtaining the doctorate.

Application Procedure

Applications will be evaluated based on the precision of the project and elements demonstrating the added value and impact of the mobility on personal, institutional, and cooperation levels.

The cover letter or letter of invitation should include a detailed description of planned activities, reasons for choosing the host organization, past achievements relevant to the mobility project, and the impact on research areas.

The Embassy of France in Nigeria will guide successful candidates through the practical aspects of mobility, linking them with Campus France Paris.

Mobility not initiated or confirmed by June 15th will be automatically canceled, and the scholarship cannot be transferred to the following year.
